With a name like Finlandia, you might assume this resource pack is supposed to look like something from out of Finland, or at least some corner of Scandinavia. Strangely though, there doesn’t appear to be a lot of ice or frozen lakes or other things you would expect from a chilly environment. There’s actually quite a fair bit of grass, and it looks as green as can be, like it’s been getting plenty of water and nutrients. Most of the flowers like poppy and lilac bushes look significantly better in Finlandia, so if you’re looking for something to brighten up your world, this could be it.

Despite the middling 64x resolution, Finlandia Resource Pack also comes with support for true 3D textures, not just textures that have bumps on them to make them look 3D. Saplings, grown trees and the way each of these cast shadows that move right along with the sun in the sky, well these are just a couple of solid examples of the 3D models in this resource pack. Water doesn’t exactly look 3D, but it does look a lot better than normal thanks to some rippling and other movement effects. Many objects and textures look photorealistic, so that’s probably the best word for describing Finlandia.

Not every block in the Finlandia resource pack has that 3D design, but many of them do. Most of the flowers, the different types of wood blocks and planks, varieties of stone and the different doors all look great with this pack turned on. Just remember, because of the 64x resolution, some players are going to be unable to use Finlandia when they play Minecraft. If you can use other packs of the same size, this one should be fine.
