The MineLoL resource pack for Minecraft 1.11 and 1.10.2 has nothing at all to do with LoL, or League of Legends. It’s actually a realistic pack with a 64x resolution that makes changes to every visual aspect of Minecraft, from blocks to items, to construction materials and mobs. Even the rare mob head drops that can be used to decorate walls and fences look different to go along with the new looks of the mobs, which is pretty cool. There is a certain attention to detail and thoroughness which makes MineLoL one of the better resource packs available for players today. Just give it a look yourself and you’ll understand.
This next thing might seem rather small, but it’s also something that should have been added to Minecraft years ago, so it really stands out. When you’re using the jukebox to play the music discs you can find in chests or dropped from creepers who get killed by skeletons, normally you can’t tell if the box has a disc in it or not. The MineLoL resource pack features two different textures for the jukebox, with one which shows you a disc on top when the box contains a disc. Again, it’s a little thing, but MineLoL is full of these little things. The level of detail is impressive here.
The 64x resolution of textures probably has a lot to do with everything being so detailed and sharp. That’s a middling resolution, so Minecraft will seek more system resources to use when rendering and displaying the sharpened, improved graphics. Despite this scaling up in terms of quality, most Minecraft players should still be able to use MineLoL without any major slowing or hardware lag.
