Despite its low 32x resolution, the REX’ PACK Resource Pack is a very popular pack for Minecraft players everywhere. It has been around for a couple years now, and there are versions for Minecraft 1.8.x and 1.9.x, but unfortunately it seems there are no more recent versions of the pack. You won’t find a working version of this resource pack for more recent Minecraft clients, so if you really love the combat update and other new content, you won’t be able to use this pack. But if you prefer to stick with older Minecraft clients for whatever reason, then you might want to check out Rex Pack.
Updates are still coming out for REX’ PACK Resource Pack even if there doesn’t seem to be any plans for making it compatible with the latest versions of Minecraft. Most recently, many of the mob graphics have been updated to give them a kind of eerie, alien look. This is especially apparent with the new Enderman graphic, but then those guys always did look kind of scary and alien anyhow. Rex Pack has a futuristic, science fiction motif throughout, so it’s not just the enemies that look strange. Even standard blocks like crafting tables look like something out of a sci-fi movie or book.
Strangely, even with the advanced motif for REX’ PACK Resource Pack, many of the graphics still seem traditional. You can see this in the weapons and tools, which still appear to be made from wood, stone and various metals and ores. However, the characteristic green tint of diamond equipment has been replaced with a bright, white color, kind of like silver. You can still tell diamond gear apart from iron gear, but Rex Pack makes it much more difficult to discern between the two. Overall, this is a fair resource pack which is worth a look for players using a dated Minecraft client.

Installation Guide for REX’ PACK Resource Pack
This tutorial will show you how easy it is to download and install REX’ PACK Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.11/1.10.2/1.9.4. For resource packs that are higher resolution of 64×64 pixels, you will have to download and install Optifine HD Mod or MCPatcher HD Fix to render successful all HD textures. Also, this guide will work on all versions of Minecraft.
- Setup 1: Download the texture pack/resource pack from below link/s.
- Setup 2: Open Minecraft and go to Options -> Resource Packs -> “Open resource pack folder”.
- Setup 3: A window will open with the folder “resourcepacks” from .minecraft directory.
- Setup 4: Move the zip file that you just downloaded in resourcepacks folder.
- Setup 5: Now you should see the pack in “Available Resource Packs” list.
