Usually when a resource pack comes with multiple resolutions, there are only small differences between the different versions of the pack, like you might expect to see when changing from 32x to 64x, or something similar to that. But the SapixCraft resource pack comes in two resolutions – 32x and 512x. That’s a humongous jump in quality between the lesser and greater versions of the pack, and you can look forward to some beautiful, high-quality textures if you’ve got the hardware in your computer to support rendering them. On the other hand, if you don’t, at least you can still use this resource pack.
One of the main goals of SapixCraft is to clean up the Minecraft world for the player. You can expect to see cleaner graphics, crisp edges around blocks, items and NPCs, and the pack manages to do this without significantly changing the look and feel of the game. The textures are better than default Minecraft, no doubt about that, but they still manage to look something like the normal textures, so it’s not a huge departure from the graphics most players are used to seeing. Even the 32x version makes Minecraft look better than it normally does though, so keep that in mind.
The level of detail in SapixCraft resource pack 1.11 is so high that even the individual leaves in tree leaf blocks have textures applied to them, which in turn makes trees appear to be alive, or at least more likely than they normally look in Minecraft. Combining this effect with a wind mod that makes tree leaf blocks wiggle and shake as if a harsh wind was blowing can create a truly beautiful visual effect. However, to get the absolute most out of SapixCraft, you still need a computer that can support the 512x version of the pack.
