The SlenderCraft resource pack is the perfect addition to Minecraft for players who enjoy tales about the Slenderman, a mythical figure created on the Internet and used to terrorize people. Slendy even has his own video games, though most of them are pretty bare-bones and boring compared to games like Minecraft. Naturally, this pack replaced the Enderman textures with Slenderman, putting the tall, thin guy in the suit right into your gaming world to stalk and terrorize you. The Enderman is actually a nice fit for him since Slenderman can teleport around and makes a static sound when approaching victims.
SlenderCraft does more than just replace a single mob texture though. Despite its low 16x resolution, it manages to make some textures like cobblestone, grass and leaves look varied and much sharper than normal. Also, some of the textures are modified to make the player feel like they’re in one of those Slenderman games that were briefly mentioned before. For instance, when wearing a pumpkin on your head, you’ll have a view that looks like you’re walking around with a camera in front of your eyes, recording everything you see. Of course, the camera doesn’t work, but it’s the point of view that counts.
The nights in SlenderCraft Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.11 and 1.10.2 are some of the best you can experience at 16x resolution. Many more stars dot the sky, which is dark but not so dark that you can’t see anything. Even the days are kind of subdued and darker than they would normally be, like there’s something creeping around that you just can’t see. This resource pack won’t put you on edge as much as a mod that added a new Slenderman monster probably would, but it’s still a nice pack for Slenderman fans.
